Planning in Progress:
With limited ice time, we're currently working on team sizes, number of teams, fall camp start dates, tryouts, and practice schedules. Once finalized, we’ll share all details with our members!

There has been a change to how HCR Profiles (numbers) are created for new participants who have NEVER registered in a Hockey Canada sanctioned program before. It is important to note that HCR Profiles will no longer be created through Respect in Sport. New Participants will be required to enter their HCR number into Respect Group when they sign up for certification.
For participants who have never been registered in a Hockey Canada sanctioned program before the registration flow will look like this:
FIRST time players in Minor Hockey, complete the below steps.
Step 1: Create a Hockey Canada (HCR) Number, Click here for instruction on how to create a HCR Number: Creating-an-HCR-Number. ****Please select St. Paul Minor Hockey Association under Organization selection****
Step 2: Complete the Respect in Sport (RIS) Parent Course. Please ensure you select St. Paul as your home association; you will need your HCR number to link Respect in Sport.
- If your new player has an older sibling that has or is playing hockey you can add them to your Respect in Sport Profile under Child Management. https://hockeyalbertaparent.respectgroupinc.com/

Equipment for your child will ensure that they can play the game correctly, and more importantly, safely. Your child’s safety is paramount to them enjoying the game and is a top priority of sanctioned hockey.
What is HCR (Hockey Canada Registry)?
HCR stands for Hockey Canada Registry — it’s the official national database and registration system used by Hockey Canada and all minor hockey associations across the country.
Purpose of HCR:
- Register players, coaches, officials, and volunteers.
- Track hockey history (teams, clinics, suspensions, transfers, etc.).
- Manage program fees and certifications.
- Link important requirements like Respect in Sport, Coach certifications, and medical forms.
HCR Profile Includes:
- Player name and birthdate
- Hockey ID number (HCR number)
- Teams played for
- Certifications (e.g., Respect in Sport)
- Injuries or suspensions (if applicable)
